A new cousin

We are so excited to welcome beautiful baby Vivienne to our family! She was born last week to my sweet brother and his wife. My arms are itching to hold her but I don't know when I will get to! Isn't she gorgeous?

Sleeping Beauties

We are moving to East Mesa in 2 weeks. I'm starting to feel emotions surfacing that I have been trying to bury deep deep inside. So if you see me and I burst into tears, blame it on the pregnancy because I'm not ready to face the truth.

Anyway, the good news is our house is sold and we found a cheap rental 15 minutes from David's work. The property manager congratulated us on keeping high credit scores in such an unstable time. Yeah that's great, but the short sale of our house is going to knock our numbers soon. We'll get it back up though, we just have to be patient. So our goals have been met (house sold, get rid of David's commute) but that doesn't keep us from being sad about leaving our beautiful home and wonderful friends and neighbors. Life just stinks sometimes.

Last night I did my nightly check on the girls before I went to bed. This is what I found:

I ran to get David so he could see, then the 2 of us just stood there looking at her and laughing hysterically but quietly (which is hard to do). I almost had a pregnancy-related accident if you know what I mean. :)

Hadi's mom bought the sleep mask for Cyrena when they were at Target one day. She LOVES it. She usually puts it on when she's saying goodnight to us (which is SO funny) but always pulls it off before she falls asleep. Not this night. I think she was really tired.

And here's Miss Natalie with her quilt, blankie, and her dog on her tummy. I think she was really tired too.

As long as I have my little family I can survive anywhere right?

Labor Day Campout

We took the girls camping on Friday. We headed up to Prescott and it was great to get out of the heat for a bit. Camping is a lot of work, but always worth it!

Worst Moments:
*Mom getting carsick on the way up and heaving on the side of the road
*Being attacked by large flying beetles as soon as it got dark
*Feeling the beetles crawl under our tent all night long
*Motorcycle/ATV riders out until 4 a.m.

Best Moments:
*Cyrena helping Dad with camping duties (tent, fire, etc.)
*Natalie eating and eating and eating
*Cooling off our feet in the creek and throwing rocks in the water
*Cyrena becoming a true camper by relieving herself in the great ol' outdoors
*Watching the girls cuddle in their sleep
*Talking and laughing quietly through a sleepless night (just mom and dad, the girls slept great)
*Roasting hot dogs and marshmallows
*Dad making us tasty hot chocolate in the morning
*Having fun and making memories

Cooling off in the creek

Breaking up firewood

Hot dogs, fruit, and chips

Doesn't get much better than this

Enjoying every sip of her hot chocolate

Camping face...dirty and satisfied
