February Happenings

Evan is always moving.  He's a busy busy boy!  He spends most of the day outside, he loves it so much.

And he loves stand at the counter to eat chocolate chips when I'm making cookies

We went on a preschool field trip to the farm!

Anna LOVES to color and draw

These days she usually has a crayon in her hand.

Evan's other title (besides brother, Evan boy, stinker, etc) is Daddy's little buddy.  David LOVES that Evan enjoys helping him with projects.

He doesn't quit; even when he's sweaty and red-faced

If he gets to be by Daddy's side, he's content

Valentine's Day 2015

For Valentine's Day we made sure to deliver love notes to each other during the week leading up and that morning we made pink heart pancakes

Yum!

For the kids we simplified and everyone got a Beanie Boo and a box of Thin Mints!

And David dipped strawberries for us!

Me and my love who just can't handle the camera flash. :)

These girls worked hard and made their own Valentine boxes.  I was proud of them, they did a great job and had so much fun!

Jameson's Blessing

In February we drove to Huntington Beach to visit with the Viramontes.  It was time to give Jameson a name and a blessing at church and we wanted to be there!

Of course we had to spend some time at the beach!!  It was so relaxing and fun. A perfect day

WOOOWEEE!!  So glad he's mine.

And him too

Jameson wasn't a huge fan of the girls holding him.  He's so cute though!!

We wore Anna out!  We have so many pictures like this, it cracks me up!

Jason took us to his station so we could meet the K9 unit, dogs and all

They did some demos for us like the dog attacking the 'suspect'  I don't ever want to be a suspect!!

And Natalie hid some 'evidence' for the dog to find.  It was all quite fascinating

**I'm missing pictures of the actual blessing day--they will be coming soon!

January happenings

January is one of my favorite months. The hustle and bustle of the holidays are over and we get to settle back into routines, have time to just be together and enjoy not being busy

I caught these two doing some cloud watching on the trampoline

We made dream boards of what we wanted to learn, enjoy, do and see in 2015

Evan loves gluesticks--he thinks they are a writing utensil

Evan was cracking me up with his visor phase.  He looks like a grandma.

Arizona sunsets are my favorite

We can't keep this girl out of our grapefruit tree

Look how high up she is!

We went on a fun hike with friends.  This is Sarah and I.  She is my walking buddy and we get along famously!

Some of our kids

We went to Red Mountain park afterward for a picnic

The kids and I surprised Natalie at lunch one day.  Here she is being squished by her friends.  Evan, Anna, Natalie, Gracie, Rose, and Brooklyn

This is posted outside the library.  They keep track of how many words are in the books they take AR tests on.  This was Cyrena's status in February.  By the end of the school year she had read over 1 million!

I love watching Natalie doing her homework.  She had to write three words that start with S and draw a picture for each.

And write a sentence about something she does in the winter

Life as we know it is full of laughter, fun, stress, love, faith and surprises. What more could we ask for?
