The Cuteness

I don't have much to write about today but I wanted to share some recent pictures.  Natalie has been better lately.  Almost to the point where I feel like I don't know who she is anymore! :) It could have something to do with her finding her thumb and using it to soothe herself.  I am a little apprehensive, but the girl refuses a pacifier and I refuse to be her pacifier so what other choice does she have?  Anyway, she's sure a happy girl other than when she's being forced to go to bed at night.  She loves to laugh and smile and play with us.  She's aDorable!  I could eat her for every meal.

Saturday was 'Surprise Pride Day'.  Ashley came over to spend the morning with me while our husbands volunteered.  I straightened her hair, we chatted, had lunch and let the kids play.  And she took some pictures of me and Natalie.  I never get to be in pictures so I was excited!  Thanks Ashley!

Also, David is reworking our garden area.  He has ripped out the wood and is putting in block.  We're getting ready to plant soon, I can't wait for the giant zucchini!  I'll share I promise.

Ok, fine!

Torrie tagged me because she knows I hate to be tagged. :) But since I love her and she has helped keep me sane the past few years, I will indulge her.   We all know I'm a pack rat.  So when we got this new computer I told David I wanted to keep all our digital pictures since 2004 on it since we have a lot of memory. So here I go......digging into my 6th picture folder, for my 6th picture and here is what I find:

Me at Disneyland,  June of 2004.  David and I were celebrating our second anniversary in the happiest place on earth!  It was an amazing and memorable trip.

It all started with me losing my cell phone (that I had gotten 2 weeks previous) in a casino in Las Vegas.  By the time we figured it out and reported it, there had been several calls to Mexico City made from it--ouch!  So $200 later we got a new phone and headed to Anaheim. We were worried that because the trip started out so awfully that bad luck would continue.

It didn't and we had a wonderful time.  After a couple of days in Disneyland (note to self--do NOT wear flip flops in an amusement park) we headed to San Diego for the remainder of the trip.  We HAD to visit the Zoo and exhaust ourselves on all those hills!

I feel so lucky to have so many wonderful memories with David.  We get along so well and have so much fun together.  We are itching to go on another vacation, just the two of us (David spends time dreaming on the internet) But that probably won't happen until my bottle-resistant baby gets with the program.

So since you love me, I will tag a few of you!  I tag Stacy, Debbie, ShayLynn, Dad, Tracy, and Cari.  I did all family members because I know they love me!!  So find the 6th picture in your 6th folder then tag 6 people!

Big Girl in a Little Coat

Need I say more for all you die hard Tommy Boy Fans?  This is how I found Cyrena one afternoon, trying on her sister's jacket.

Big Girl

What a day! Some of you will just roll your eyes at me, but this is a day I've looked foward to (and was sentimental about) for a long time! Cyrena got her FIRST haircut today. It was so darn exciting. I've been pumping her up about it for the last few days so she was very excited.

I took her to the woman who cuts my hair. It was so adorable. Cyrena was SO good and did everything she was told. She got her hair washed and was just smiling the whole time. Then she stood on the chair while she cut the back and ends. When she sat down so she could cut the top, she loved having the chair pumped up taller.

Pretty much, she loved every minute of it. As you would expect, Cyrena talked almost the whole time and now has yet another admirer. She was able to pick out pretty clips for her hair and it was styled so cute. Then she got a sucker. Talk about first-class treatment!  Of course we had to drive over to 'her boyfriend's' house (Logan) so he could see her beautiful hair. He was more interested in where she got the sucker.

It was very fun for me to do this with my baby girl. She loved that it was just the two of us. I'm glad it was fun for her so she will look forward to it in the future!

Brainwashed?

Cyrena:  Look mommy, I built a temple!  Isn't it so pretty?

Cyrena:  Daddy, this is my baby.

Daddy:  Oh, where are her clothes?

Cyrena:  She's naked......no......she's in her garments.

There are some who say that mormons are brainwashed.  No way..... this is totally normal!
