Just Beautiful

While we completely enjoyed the amazingly cool storms on Saturday, it was great to wake up Sunday to a beautiful, sunny day. What appropriate weather for remembering the incredible resurrection of the Savior. Here are some pictures of our day.

We had some friends over Saturday night and after a yummy dinner the girls had a lot of fun dyeing eggs and playing, playing, playing.

Cyrena slept in so David was making breakfast (our traditional Goldenrod..... YUM!) and I was cleaning up a bit and playing with Natalie. When Cyrena got up, she set right to work finding all of our Easter baskets. The Easter Bunny hides the entire basket at our house. With some 'guidance' she was able to find them all. She was pretty darn excited about it. She loved her puzzle, book, bracelet, toothpaste (she loves it) and of course a little bit of candy. She was also excited to show Natalie her basket as well. Natalie was very into playing with it.

We had a beautiful program at church and then a great dinner with cousins and friends.  As I get older and more mature (yeah right) my understanding of Easter grows more and more into a deep respect for all I've been blessed with.  My grasp of the atonement grows more and more into an unquenchable desire to do what's right so the Savior did not die in vain for me.

There have been a lot of 'thoughts' going on in this little head of mine lately.  And I'm moving forward, working toward who I ultimately want to become.  I'm lucky to have a man by my side with similar desires and goals.   He's a gift I tell you.

I'm glad you all had a wonderful Easter. Your YW lesson was incredible! So amazing! You should teach EVERY week! ;) Thank you for sharing that video, I told all my family they absolutely needed to watch it. Thank you also for the beautiful bracelet! I ADORE it! You are so awesome!

It was so cute to hear Cyrena tell me all about her Easter. She was very proud of the bracelet you made her. I had to laugh at the toothpaste though as I think she was the most excited about that. She is sure to keep her smile pretty with all the yummy toothpaste you give her. I too was touched this year as I thought of the meaning of Easter and what it means to my family. It truly humbles me to think of the amazing gift I've been given.

Wow...those pictures of you and your girls in the middle of your post are amazing. Did David take those? And yes, you sure are a lucky girl to have such an awesome guy by your side. It really is a gift...one I hope to get one day too. :)

Ok I have to start with Cyrena Dean. After the choir finished our rehearsal, David was taking her to get a drink and I said Hi to her and she launched into a 5 minute talk about Easter & her new bracelet. She was so precious and had so many wonderful things to tell me. I loved it!

Next what lovely pictures of you and your girls. Priceless.

I too am learning & understanding more & more each year about the Atonement. It is w/ true gratitude that I realize how blessed we are to have the Gospel in our lives.

Happy Easter. =]

"He's a gift I tell you." - I could have guessed without knowing that you said that :)

You have such a great attitude. When I woke up on Saturday to rain, I thought BUMMER the egg hunt will have to be moved inside. But you are right it was perfect weather for easter weekend.

David Dean took some awesome pics of his sweet girls. It is nice to contemplate the gift of the atonement and how that is the only way I'll ever make it back. Having a friend like you makes it a bit easier too.
